In contrast with other recent polls, the GEA-ISA national poll shows the PAN and the PRI running even, within the margin of error, with a slight advantage to the PAN. Based on probable voters, and excluding undecideds, the GEA-ISA poll showed the PAN increasing its support from 39% in March to 40% at the end of May. The PRI’s support fell from 41% to 38%. The GEA-ISA estimate gives the PRI and its Green Party allies a plurality of 231 seats in the Chamber of Deputies, with the PAN at 214 seats and the PRD at 47. This is a significantly better outcome for the PAN and worse for the PRD, as compared to the Mitofsky poll reported last week.
