40% of Mexico City schools lack functioning bathrooms

As educators scramble to prepare schools for reopening, Mexico City’s education department confessed that 40% of the city’s elementary schools — 2,800 out of 5,800 –had bathrooms in “bad or terrible” condition.  Forty-five schools lacked running water.
